FirstEnergy offers dental coverage through Delta Dental of Ohio. The Delta Dental network is the largest dental benefits provider in the country, and features two networks from which to choose:

  • Delta Dental PPO (Note: You may pay less for services received in the PPO network.)
  • Delta Dental Premier

The plan pays a greater benefit when you visit an in-network provider, so it’s always best to confirm your dentist is in the Delta Dental network before your appointment. You can search for in-network dentists by calling Delta Dental or visiting its website.

The chart below shows the differences between the Basic Plan and Plus Plan.

Have a dependent under age 19 that needs orthodontia?
Learn how Delta Dental pays orthodontia expenses through the Dental Plus Plan. PLEASE NOTE:  Your dependent (under age 19) must be enrolled in the Plus Plan the entire time payments are being made by Delta Dental until the max of $1500 is paid. There is NO orthodontia coverage under the Basic Plan.

If you go to an out-of-network dentist and that dental office will not file your dental claim to Delta Dental on your behalf, complete and submit this form.
